I don't think people realize the importance of self esteem.
Or believing you're worth something.
That you deserve something.
I'm not talking about entitlement. I'm not talking about whining and grovelling when you don't get your way. I'm talking about having enough self pride to fight for what you want. I'm talking about loving yourself enough to know what you deserve.
Do you like your friends? Yeah, that's why they're your friends, right? So when they do something you know is going to hurt them you get scared and it kinda hurts to watch right? That's because you like them, probably because you love them. Because you care about them and want the best for them.
See where I'm going with this? Sometimes we freight train right into bad situations because we don't care enough about ourselves to wonder if it's right for us. Sometimes we have such low esteem for ourselves we don't realize we deserve better. Sometimes we don't love ourselves enough to do what's right for us.
That's why self esteem is so important. Because without it you don't make the choices you would want someone you love to make. Have a little pride in yourself. Have some pride in who you are. Like yourself. Love yourself a little.
And you know what, if you're not someone you can like, if you're not someone you can love, that's something you need to square up, immediately. Now. You gotta figure out what you need to do to make yourself love you. You need to be someone you can love, if you're not, you're never going to treat yourself right, and you can barely expect anyone else to.
You gotta love you first.
